Birds Build Nests by Yvonne Winer, illustrated by Tony Oliver

I love to read stories to my children with beautiful illustrations and great information. This book fills the bill (no pun intended). The drawings are amazing, detailing the grand variety of nests that birds across the globe make in a number of environments. The prose is simple and rhyming. The bonus is at the back of the book, where more information about the birds and their habitats is given.

Birds build nests
Where water birds wade.
Large floating rafts
In the lotus bloom's shade.
That's where birds build their nests.
